Founded in 1977, our mission is "to promote the preservation and protection of historic structures and sites through advocacy, education, involvement, and public and private investment." Membership in Historic Tyler ensures that our organization can advocate for historic preservation measures in Tyler’s future economic and cultural development. Since 1981, our largest fundraiser has been the annual Historic Tyler on Tour (HTOT). During HTOT, the public can purchase tickets to tour five different historic homes that have been lovingly preserved by generations of owners. The Grand Room (the newest building at the top of the hill overlooking the vineyard) is now the combined public Winery and Distillery Tasting Room with a gift shop.
